Summary

The Manager, Distribution is responsible for managing all phases of the distribution operation and acts as the liaison between Distribution and Sales to ensure timely, accurate, and cost-effective deliveries while maintaining high standards of safety, compliance, and customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all distribution operations including routing, delivery execution, and logistics planning.
  • Lead, coach, and develop Distribution Supervisors and distribution associates.
  • Establish distribution goals and monitor delivery KPIs and performance metrics.
  • Partner with Dispatch to maintain and continuously improve route plans.
  • Ensure compliance with DOT, OSHA, EEOC, company policies, and safety standards.
  • Manage labor and operating expense budgets; review P&L and implement corrective actions.
  • Oversee reporting, audits, and documentation for compliance and performance.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Warehouse, and Fleet teams to ensure efficient, accurate deliveries.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives leveraging technology, training, and best practices.

Qualifications

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

EXPERIENCE:

  • 2+ years of prior experience in operations, distribution, or supply chain leadership required.
  • Experience managing supervisory-level employees preferred.
  • Beverage industry or related industry experience strongly preferred.
  • DOT knowledge required; CDL preferred.

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to lift 35–65 pounds and work in a fast-paced distribution environment.
