Job Summary

The Warehouse Manager has overall accountability for the functions of the warehouse.   Collaborates cross-functionally with multiple avenues of the business, including planning and distribution.

Job Responsibilities

  • Warehouse Management - Oversee the warehouse operation by directing and monitoring all phases of the department.  Ongoing engagement with employees to ensure a productive and safe work environment. Manages ELS system to track efficiency of warehouse functionality and productivity.  Operates within the contractual obligations.  
  • Inventory Control – Monitor inventory levels and provide direction in allocating necessary space for stock rotation. Daily review of inventory postings to include process compliance and investigation of unknown inventory loss.
  • Compliance and Safety - Adheres to and ensures compliance with regards to safety, company policies, quality standards, operational standards, and regulatory standards. Support and implement company initiatives to achieve performance, quality, and safety metrics. Secure and manage all company assets including facilities equipment. Maintain accurate records for compliance.  Manage and oversee the audit controls.  Prepare and present regular reports on warehouse performance to leadership.
  • Cost Management - Manage execution of daily warehouse operations within parameters of both labor and other operating expense budgets. Review P&L to monitor expense line items and implement action plans as needed. 
  • Team Leadership - Provides leadership and direction to Warehouse/Inventory Supervisors and support roles.  Set clear performance expectations and provide regular feedback and coaching. Oversee ongoing performance management by ensuring consistent application of policies and procedures.  Assist in the selection and development of personnel.  Support and ensure productive implementation of the on-boarding program. 
  • Continuous Improvement - Improve productivity of workforce through current technology enablement, training, process improvement, and identifying best practices. Develop standard operating procedures for all appropriate positions in the warehouse by identifying opportunities for enhancement through continuous improvement management.
  • Collaboration and Communication - Maintain collaborative relationships with sales, distribution, planning and fleet departments to ensure warehouse operations are completed timely, accurate and efficiently to ensure customer satisfaction.  Responsible for analyzing and resolving operational and customer issues.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of one year of work experience required, or a minimum of five years of progressive job experience including people, project, or account management with leadership and influencing skills required.
  • Prior experience in warehouse and inventory leadership required.
  • Experience managing of supervisory level employees preferred.
  • Experience with Lean/Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement, Operational Excellence, and Labor Relations preferred.
  • Strong capability for attention to detail, organization, and prioritization is required.
  • Excellent leadership skills including the ability to develop and maintain positive relationships across all levels within the organization.  Conflict resolution experience preferred.
  • Effectively communicates at all organizational levels; ability to both present ideas and influence decisions at leadership level.
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SAP.

 

Pay: $82,238 - $97,658 a year
