Job Summary
The Warehouse Area Specialist is instrumental in equipment management, overseeing machinery, and Warehouse Management Systems. Your role will entail providing deep expertise, guidance, and leadership with maintaining equipment, and optimization of LGV solutions, essential for enhancing efficiency and safety. Your role will be pivotal in advancing our mission to deliver efficient, safe, and innovative finished goods to our customers.
Job Responsibilities
Safety: Ensure all warehouse equipment systems meet Heartlands safety program standards, and industry best practices. Conduct regular safety inspections, report hazards, and promote a culture of safety among team members.
Expertise Sharing: Maintain warehouse equipment, including Laser Guided Vehicles (LGVs), Autonomous Guided Vehicles (AGVs), Balers, Manual Forklifts, and Specialty Equipment. Share comprehensive knowledge of LGV and AGV technologies with cross-functional teams, ensuring a thorough understanding of system architecture, capabilities, and applications. Monitor equipment performance, troubleshoot issues, and perform routine maintenance. Collaborate with technical support for equipment upgrades and software updates. Provide guidance and training to warehouse personnel on equipment operations and maintenance.
System Design and Integration: Support the design and integration process of warehouse equipment systems for various departments, including assessing customer needs, selecting appropriate technologies, and overseeing implementation.
Training: Assist with the development and delivery of training programs for all departments to enhance their understanding of equipment technologies, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
Innovation: Stay current with emerging trends and advancements in warehouse equipment technologies, proactively identifying opportunities for improvement and innovation.
Troubleshooting: Act as a point of contact for resolving complex technical issues related to warehouse equipment systems, providing guidance and recommendations for efficient solutions.
Performance Optimization: Analyze data and performance metrics from equipment operations, identify areas for improvement, and work collaboratively to optimize system efficiency.
Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation, including system configurations, maintenance logs, and operational procedures, ensuring compliance with auditing requirements.
Collaboration: Collaborate with department leaders, plant engineers, and customers to ensure successful execution, timely delivery, and customer satisfaction.
Job Requirements
- High School diploma or GED required. Bachelor’s degree or Technical diploma/certification in electromechanical field or industrial automation preferred. A minimum of three years of work experience is required.
- Proven experience gained in the role of electromechanical or transfer technician, electrician, or automation engineer.
- Ability to read and understand electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical drawings.
- Knowledge, even basic, of Siemens plc, Beckhoff, Fanuc, Allen Bradley, Rockwell is preferred.
- Strong understanding of safety standards and regulatory requirements in automation and robotics.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Exceptional communication and presentation abilities.
- Experience with project management and team leadership is a plus.
Pay: $59,681 - $70,212 a year
