Job Summary
The OT Systems Engineer acts as on-premise technical resource dedicated to the manufacturing site with the purpose of supporting and delivering IT/OT network solutions to resolve manufacturing issues and improve operational performance in the areas of Controls, Automation, Manufacturing Networks, Manufacturing Network Security, Cyber Security, and machine connectivity.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead and support the OT Network/Infrastructure system and IT Engineering at the production facility by establishing and maintaining regular written and in-person communication with executives, department heads, and end users regarding pertinent OT activities.
- Serve as point of escalation on IT/OT infrastructure issues at manufacturing facility and provide on call support as required.
- Serves as a liasison to OT manufacturers, contractors, company persionnel and other internal or external parties with respect to controls equipment, instruments, and related systems.
- Ensure effective deployment and integration of OT systems within the OT environment in accordance with industry standards.
- Facilitate management of vendor remote access to OT systems.
- Support the management of the OT system lifecycle, ensuring adherence to cyber security and operational standards.
- Act as a liaison between IT and Production by gathering site-specific requirements.
- Assist with OT systems audits and compliance efforts.
- Create documentation of OT infrastructure and maintain library of documenation.
- Create documentation of OT network systems and maintain library of documentation.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Engineering, or related discipline / equivalent experience minimum of three years IT work experience preferably in the manufacturing industry, or a minimum of five years of experience in OT systems support and integration.
- Experience managing or administering manufacturing process controls networks, OT or IT infrastructure for manufacturing operations.
- Experience with Incident Management, Problem Management, and Change Management Processes
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Advanced understanding of network infrastructure, computer hardware, and enterprise architecture.
- General understanding of VMWare ESXi implementation and administration.
- General understanding of cyber security and industry control system standards (ISA, NIST).
- System Admin Windows 10/11 and Windows Server 2016/2019/2022, Active Directory
- Ability to generalize manufacturing technology and solutions and effectively communicate complex solutions to leadership.
- Experience working with third party vendors and system integrators, specifying hardware and software for controls and automation projects, Factory and Site acceptance tests, and project management.
- Experience configuring Cisco / Palto Alto network hardware a plus.
Pay: $99,508 - $118,166 a year
