Job Summary
Responsible for overseeing the sourcing, acquisition, and management of materials and inventory necessary for production or operational activities. This role is critical in ensuring that materials are appropriately forecasted and available when needed, at the right quantity and quality, and at an optimal cost. The Materials Analyst will serve as a cross functional link between Manufacturing, Production Planning, Procurement and other planning functions such as Lifecycle and Demand Planning.
Job Responsibilities
- Leads the Supply Chain replenishment activities for purchasing and replenishing packaging and raw materials.
- Accountable for generating the required raw material forecast for suppliers/procurement accurately and timely to be reviewed with Inventory Specialists, Production Planner, and/or Lifecyle Demand Analyst.
- Support execution of innovation, promotional packaging, production trials and ad hoc production projects.
- Source and establish relationships with reliable suppliers and CCBSS to meet material requirements.
- Provide considerations to exit planning for discontinued materials and identify risks and trade off options for assessment.
- Support contract execution of short and long-term agreements to ensure optimum costs and reliable supply ensuring that contracts meet all the compliance issues.
- Executes the management of raw materials allocations and constraints with efforts to reduce and eliminate raw materials waste.
- Be actively learning production and other planning activities to build understanding of integration of activities.
- All other assigned planning activities and needs.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business, statistics, or a related field and a minimum of one year of work experience required, or a minimum of five years of progressive job experience including people, project, or account management with leadership and influencing skills required.
- Experience in logistics or supply planning, product management, or procurement management.
- Certification in demand planning or supply chain management (e.g., APICS CPIM, CSCP, LSSS) is preferred.
- Strong understanding of Supply Chain activities and the related dependencies to other functions including working knowledge of inventory and capacity management methodologies.
- Proven ability to lead and influence others in a fast-changing environment
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, including both written and verbal as well as strong presentation skills.
- Strategic thinking and decision-making.
- Capable of driving change, cross-functionally, utilizing project management approaches and concepts.
- Exceptional process improvement skills (Six Sigma & LEAN) with the proven ability to implement process changes, improving efficiency and cost savings across functions.
- Proficiency with ERP or procurement software preferred (e.g., Oracle, Blue Yonder, or Ariba)
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite
Pay: 61,787 to 73,372
