Role Details

  • Work Location – Brampton, Weston, Lachine, Calgary or Richmond
  • Shift/Hours or Hybrid Environment – Hybrid, 3 days in-person, with travel to other locations at least once a month
  • Salary – The full base salary range for this position is from $108,000 - $150,000 annually. The starting base salary offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, role complexity, skills, experience, and internal equity.

About This Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and driven leader to join our team as Manager, Quality & Food Safety – Optimization & Systems Compliance. This role is responsible for strengthening food safety and quality systems through continuous improvement, audit excellence, and compliance with internal and external standards. 

The successful candidate will lead optimization initiatives, oversee audit programs end-to-end, and ensure our systems remain aligned with evolving requirements, while building strong capability across the organization. 

The QFS (Quality & Food Safety) Manager Optimization & System Compliance reports to the QHSE (Quality, Health, Safety & Environment) Sr Director at Coke Canada. 

Responsibilities

  • Lead and guide QFS packaging, ingredient, and process optimization initiatives initiated by procurement, packaging optimization, and other stakeholders, including identification, design, testing, risk assessment, validation, and implementation - to improve quality, reduce risk, enhance operational efficiency, and ensure full compliance with internal, brand partner, and regulatory requirements.
  • Own and manage the internal audit program (end-to-end), including planning, execution, follow up, reporting, and action closure overview.
  • Provide audit insights (internal and external) trends, and risk visibility to leadership , transformed complex audit data into actionable dashboards and visual presentations for audit committees and executive management.
  • Lead readiness and execution of external audits (CFIA, LRQA, GAO, Brand partners) and act as primary QFS contact. 
  • Development of internal Requirement based on the KORE standards and brand partner requirements, including deployment and updates across sites. 
  • Lead WHSE, 3rd part assessment, audit, ensuring food safety risk assessment and ongoing compliance.
  • Develop the Maintain governance, documentation, and compliance tracking systems.
  • Develop and maintain the QFS corporate management system documentation to reflect all requirements from the brand partners.
  • Drive capability building and knowledge sharing, including training development. 
  • Implementation and promotion of best practices across teams that comes from audits and assessments. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Advanced expertise in Microsoft 365 suite and Microsoft Copilot, leveraging AI to automate workflows, enhance reporting, and improve decision-making.
  • 7–10+ years of experience in Quality & Food Safety within manufacturing (beverage preferred). 
  • FSSC 22000 and ISO 9001 Auditor certified, with experience conducting food safety and quality system audits. 
  • Strong knowledge of KORE, brand Partners, GFSI/SQF, HACCP, and regulatory requirements. 
  • Proficient in Softools system for managing audits, tracking findings, and leading corrective and preventive actions. 
  • Experience leading cross-functional projects and system improvements. 
  • Technical expertise in facilities, processes and/or machinery utilized in the beverage/food industry. 
  • Good verbal, written, and presentation skills to liaison effectively between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders.
