Job Description
The Trainer – Large Store is responsible for identifying the educational needs of others, developing formal educational or training programs or classes, and teaching or instructing others.
What your day will look like:
- Assures that the employees get the training needed to meet the day-to-day activities and the long-term planning
- Plans, develops, and provides sales training and staff development programs, using knowledge of the effectiveness of methods such as classroom training, demonstrations, on-the-job training, meetings, conferences, and workshops
- Works closely with the sales department supervisors to identify sales training needs and develops plans that will meet the training needs
- Provides the materials and resources that motivates personnel to learn
- Develops training status report for Manager
- Develops improved methods to meet training and organizational needs
- Ensures that employees participate in sales training and that training meets the organizational needs.
- Analyzes training needs to recommend new sales training programs or modify and improve existing programs.
- Conduct or arrange for ongoing training and personal development as needed
- Organize sales training manuals, multimedia visual aids, and other educational materials in addition to testing and evaluation procedures
- Provide remedial driver training following any driving infractions as needed
- Performs appropriate duties as assigned by management
What you need to succeed:
- Minimum of 21 years old
- Class A CDL preferred and obligation to maintain compliance with UNITED fleet policy Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by position and compliance with UNITED safety policies
- Regular and prompt attendance is an essential function of the job
- Ability to read, write and speak English
- Ability to maintain a neat professional appearance within Company guidelines
- Ability to maintain safety and security of Company assets
- Ability to utilize all Company provided resources and technology
- Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or university; or 1 to 2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to problem solve
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Beverage and consumer packaged goods experience preferred
- Training Needs Analysis, evaluation, and transfer of learning
- Facilitation of instructor-led and self-paced learning
- Knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and training design, teaching and instruction for individuals and groups, and the measurement of training effects
- Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar
- Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources
- Ability to communicate information and ideas in speaking so others will understand
- Ability to brainstorm and innovative problem-solving skills
- Effective written and oral communication skills
- Repeated Keyboarding/typing and sitting
