Job Description
The Supervisor – Field Service is responsible for supervising and coordinating activities of service technicians
What your day will look like:
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the UNITED policies and applicable laws
- Interview, hire, and train associates
- Plan, assign, and direct work
- Appraise performance
- Address complaints and resolve problems
- Builds positive associate morale
- Lines up service calls and dispatch techs each morning
- Assists techs in getting necessary parts and supplies for the day
- Prepares the daily report and key in data
- Reviews calls to determine if there are any problem calls that need attention
- Reviews and make repairs to high profile problem calls
- Reviews and assist techs with physical and technical issues
- Takes parts and supplies to tech as needed
- Performs surveys for Service department
- Performs Sarbanes/Oxley audits for USA
- Assists in inventory counts of all service vans
- Prepares end of month reports
- Fills in for dispatcher/service operator as needed
- Performs appropriate duties as assigned by management
What you need to succeed:
- Minimum age 18 years old
- Valid driver’s license required and obligation to maintain compliance with UNITED fleet policy
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by position and compliance with UNITED safety policies
- Regular and prompt attendance is an essential function of the job
- Ability to read, write and speak English
- Ability to maintain a neat professional appearance within Company guidelines
- Ability to maintain safety and security of Company assets
- Ability to utilize all Company provided resources and technology
- Strong leadership and organizational skills
- Proven ability to coach and manage needs and concerns of multiple associates
- One-year certificate from college or technical school; or 3 to 4 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience Type 1 Refrigeration Certification Preferred
- Excellent customer service, problem-solving, and technical skills
- Frequent sitting, standing, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 100 lbs., and exposure to noise
- Repeated bending, kneeling/squatting, and crawling
