Job Description
The Supervisor - IT Field Support Services is a member of the Corporate IT staff and is responsible for managing a team of Field Support personnel that support and maintains all IT hardware and infrastructure located in all UNITED locations.
What your day will look like:
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the UNITED policies and applicable laws
- Interview, hire, and train associates
- Plan, assign, and direct work
- Appraise performance
- Address complaints and resolve problems
- Builds positive associate morale
- Manage the processes for all Field IT Support Services including, assigning resources, managing schedules, and managing resources and career development
- Work with various CCBCU external vendors that provide equipment and maintenance on IT assets in the field
- Manage, coaching and mentor Field IT Support personnel and working with peers across the Corporate IT organization to ensure high availability of all UNITED IT systems and devices
- Assist to define annual goals, evaluate performance, and prepare career development plans
- Work with internal customer groups to determine and meet specific Field IT Support needs
- Support and maintain the Windows PC environment and the associated desktop and laptop computing hardware and software, as well the networking infrastructure and hardware if necessary
- Assist The Manager-IT Field Support Services in managing the Field mobile device management (MDM) system
- Assist and support the Corp Manager- IT Field Support Services in the administration and billing of all communications services
- Performs appropriate duties as assigned by management
What you need to succeed:
- Minimum age 18 years old
- Valid driver’s license required and obligation to maintain compliance with UNITED fleet policy
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by position and compliance with UNITED safety policies
- Regular and prompt attendance is an essential function of the job
- Ability to read, write and speak English
- Ability to maintain a neat professional appearance within Company guidelines
- Ability to maintain safety and security of Company assets
- Ability to utilize all Company provided resources and technology
- Strong leadership and organizational skills
- Proven ability to coach and manage needs and concerns of multiple associates
- Strong skills and experience in business analysis, project management, people management and customer management
- Bachelor’s degree or 5-10 years of Information Technology experience; or combination of education and experience
- Ability to travel (25-35%)
Physical Requirements
Position will be required to comply with the CCBCU Personal Protective Equipment Program. Position is required to wear safety toed shoes when performing the following tasks: Operating Powered Industrial Equipment or Working in an Area where Powered Industrial Equipment is in use, Fleet Maintenance, Working with Palletized Product, Use of Hand Trucks/Dollies to Deliver Product, Cooler Services, etc.
