Job Description
The Delivery Merchandiser – Small Store Relief is responsible for delivering and rotating stock. Also responsible for merchandising shelves, racks, equipment, and displays to Company standards.
What your day will look like:
- High degree of flexibility required to cover open needs of driver team
- Transports and unloads products to retail outlets
- Responsible for merchandising all product inside the outlet to Company standards
- Works in partnership with the Sales Supervisor to execute the picture of success. Establish positive relationships with all customers, as well as providing superior customer service
- Provides feedback and recommendations to leadership on competitive threats and business opportunities as they arise
- Ability to work with all functional team members
- Sets up merchandise and sales promotion displays
- Communicates any store level issue to management
- Complies with DOT rules for driving purposes
- Maintains rapport with customers
- Collection of any breakage or out of date product, including empty shells and pallets
- Accurate accounting for all cases and customer transactions
- Ensure proper care of product, equipment, and route settlement daily
- Deliver, rotate, and merchandise product on shelf, displays and all cold equipment
- Maintains backstock in an organized manner
- Keeps coolers, racks, and shelves clean
- Assist with training, coaching, succession planning of any delivery merchandiser trainees
- Build strong relationships with customer base across assigned customers

- Must meet the physical requirements of the position
- In the event of drivers, to have a good MVR (Motor Vehicle Record)
- Must be able to pass Company driving test before and after training
- Must be able to pass the Company DOT physical and drug screen if applicable
- Must be able to drive assigned equipment with the required license for specific position
- Sales experience desired for Sales positions
- Knowledge of general trade math demonstrated by the passing of a math skills test if applicable for sales positions.
- High School Diploma or GED for applicable jobs as listed on the job description
- Class A CDL Required
- DOT Certification required and obligation to maintain compliance with UNITED fleet policy
- Minimum of 21 years old
- Self-motivated, aggressive attitude - high achiever
- Ability to handle and exchange money accurately
- Frequent standing, walking, kneeling, and exposure to weather
- Ability to problem solve
Physical Requirements
Position will be required to comply with the CCBCU Personal Protective Equipment Program. Position is required to wear safety toed shoes when performing the following tasks: Operating Powered Industrial Equipment or Working in an Area where Powered Industrial Equipment is in use, Fleet Maintenance, Working with Palletized Product, Use of Hand Trucks/Dollies to Deliver Product, Cooler Services, etc.
