Job Description

The Accountant – Fixed Asset Accountant is responsible for Cold Drink Inventory and Capital budget as well as month and quarter-end reporting. Under the supervision of the Fixed Assets Manager, the Accountant is responsible for the cost of newly acquired fixed assets, capital lease schedule, tracking existing fixed assets, analyzing depreciation, and accounting for the disposal of fixed assets. The accountant will also oversee and safeguard the capital budget. This will include processing capital expenditure request forms and reporting.

What your day will look like:

  • Analyze and review Equipment Refurbishment Center (ERC) Cold Drink Equipment (CDE) expenditures to ensure that fixed assets are accounted for properly Reconciling equipment records to asset records
  • Maintain and reconcile the capital budget
  • Process capital expenditure request forms
  • Review of the Equipment Refurbishment Center (ERC), Cold Drink Equipment (CDE), and Construction in Process (CIP) accounts and creating settlement rules, as necessary
  • Maintain Fixed Asset clearing accounts
  • Process disposal orders
  • Responsible for the capital lease schedule
  • Performs appropriate duties as assigned by management

What you need to succeed:

  • Minimum age 18 years old
  • Valid driver’s license required and obligation to maintain compliance with UNITED fleet policy
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by position and compliance with UNITED safety policies
  • Regular and prompt attendance is an essential function of the job
  • Ability to read, write and speak English 
  • Ability to maintain a neat professional appearance within Company guidelines
  • Ability to maintain safety and security of Company assets
  • Ability to utilize all Company provided resources and technology
  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) in Accounting from four-year College or university; and 1 to 2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • SAP experience preferred
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Excel {Formulas}, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Strong analytical, customer service, problem-solving, and organizational skills

Physical Requirements

Position will be required to comply with the CCBCU Personal Protective Equipment Program. Position is required to wear safety toed shoes when performing the following tasks: Operating Powered Industrial Equipment or Working in an Area where Powered Industrial Equipment is in use, Fleet Maintenance, Working with Palletized Product, Use of Hand Trucks/Dollies to Deliver Product, Cooler Services, etc.
