General Purpose
The Planning & Performance Manager (PPM) is responsible for driving top-line Portfolio growth (Revenue, Gross Profit, Volume) within all the business channel segments, providing thought leadership to the Commercial organization and CCSWB in shaping market direction.
Duties and Responsibilities
Develop Business Strategy
- Provides forward-looking forecast evaluation, interpretation, and performance analysis (hurdle identification, plan gaps, etc), augments bottoms-up forecast with top-down perspective.
- Stewards weekly/monthly topline performance management routine with Commercial Leadership, providing reporting updates, business results, price strategy initiatives, and competitive insights.
- Presents business results, price strategy initiatives, competitive insights, and collective best practices during CCSWB Leadership meetings.
- Develop and evaluate contingencies to address specific topline plan gaps (price/promotion, innovation, acceleration initiatives).
- Stewards the initial inclusion of all assumptions into planning tools and the translation of channel plans into Retail/FSOP channel top-line goals.
- Lead the development , projects, and monthly results with Arca Continental Corporate/Digital Nest
- Participate/support in customer governance discussions where needed, providing decision support and perspective on market implications and coherency.
Lead the creation of the Annual & 5-year Planning Strategy
- Partners with Commercialization team to develop and quantify the annual commercial plan across our portfolio, including sources of growth and supporting pricing architecture.
- Develop the Long-Term Plan (5yr) with Arca Continental Corporate, responsible for volume, revenue, rate and share. As well as Commercial and Functional Areas (Supply, HR, etc) Initiatives across the company. Collaboration with
- Commercial, Digital and Finance team from AC Corporate.
- Develop consumer-driven retail price strategy for our portfolio Analyzing consumer, market, historical sales and financial data, clearly articulating the retail price package and promotional plans for all categories and across all channels as part of the annual Planning process.
Develop Market Studies and indicator analyses to better understand business opportunities
- Design and run experiments/surveys (via third parties) based on business hypotheses (consumer, macro, trade), recommend path forward in conjunction with HQ Corporate Strategic
- Identify opportunities and secure endorsement for expanding Revenue/Margin by utilizing segmentation data and other data sources (such as Nielsen).
- Develop and execute reporting to support high leverage initiatives, monitoring and communicating execution & results.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- MBA or other graduate degree preferred
- 6+ years Strategic Planning, RGM and Finance experience, preferably in the consumer goods/beverages industry.
- Strong analytical skills – ability to draw insights from data, develop volumetric & financial models from diverse sources, and lead complex analytics that translate into actions and sustainable results.
- Experience creating and stewarding topline business plans.
- Extensive experience with OBPPC plan development & analytics.
- Advanced English language required.
- Proficient with PowerPoint and excel.
