General Purpose

Ensure the sustainability of Arca Continental-CCSWB operations, promoting shared value generation and positive impact among stakeholders as well as the environment. Identify, manage and mitigate social and environmental risks within the company, associates, communities and value chain are key to transform those risks into value generations and reputation opportunities. Arca Continental-CCSWB shall be recognized as a sustainability leader. The role will be split between AC 30% and CCSWB 70%.

In addition, The Public Affairs, Communications & Sustainability Director will serve as support of CCSWB efforts to create an environment in which business, across all categories, can grow unencumbered, with a particular focus on ensuring our license to operate in the Market Units where we do business. This role serves to enhance relationships and builds results with all local stakeholders regarding CCSWB reputation as a growth business and key community partner. This role serves as the local business partner for the assigned territory and is responsible for assisting the field team directors with government relations, issues management, stakeholder relations, local media relations, local community giving strategy and strongly supporting local leadership communications. This position will report to the VP Public Affairs, Communications, & Sustainability for CCSWB.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Design and execute external facing sustainability projects within the organization, including World Without Waste, Water Conservation and Energy.
  • Implement the sustainability management system and its respective procedures. Identify and train the people across the functions involved in the management system.
  • Coordinate with Corporate to support the Sustainability Committee. Manage the development of the short and long-term objectives and goals.
  • Constantly map all direct and indirect stakeholders and design interaction mechanisms for each of them.
  • Design and implement a sustainability reputation and or social license evaluation mechanism for our operations.
  • Support the Investor Relationship area promoting the company’s sustainability practices.
  • Communicate the information needed for the different sustainability surveys and certifications. Coordinate the response/inclusion of the ones identified.
  • Promote the continuous sustainability training of all CCSWB associates.  Permeate the sustainability culture throughout the organizations and its value chain.
  • Coordinate the sustainability communications and reports.
  • Promote the use of information management systems.
  • Integrate new operations into the sustainability strategy and assist them in the adoption of it.
  • Generate the company’s integrated information for the sustainability report requested or considered necessary and answer the sustainability related questions and questionnaires.
  • Design and implement shared value projects to manage or minimize social, environmental or legislative threats.
  • Develop strategies to fulfill the Coca-Cola system expectations and requirements and track their implementation.
  • Represent the company in groups, forums and organizations related to sustainability.
  • Position Arca continental-CCSWB as benchmark in sustainability.



  • Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Journalism, public relations, business or related environmental field.
  • 6 years with 2 years in specialized government relations or public affairs field experience.
