Job Description

The HR Generalist is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with senior HR management in supporting designated geographic regions. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: benefits administration, employee relations, training, performance management, policy implementation, leave administration, affirmative action and employment law compliance.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Administer various human resource plans and procedures for company personnel; assist in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures
  • Participate in developing department goals, objectives and systems
  • Monitor the performance evaluation program and revise as necessary
  • Perform benefits administration, including claims resolution, change reporting, approving invoices for payment and communicating benefits information to employees
  • Develop and maintain affirmative action program; file EEO-1 report annually and maintain other records, reports and logs to conform to EEO regulations
  • Handle employee relations counseling, outplacement counseling and exit interviewing
  • Assist in evaluation of reports, decisions and results of departments in relation to established goals; create tools and reports for HR and associates to use
  • Maintain human resource information system records and compile reports from database
  • Recommend new approaches, policies and procedures to continually improve efficiency of department and services performed; draft new policies with involvement of other support partners (legal, IT, sales, marketing, payroll, benefits, etc.)
  • Bring existing policies to standardization wherever possible and compliance with other departments
  • Work with HR Manager to create, drive, maintain and manage all strategic projects within the Human Resources department
  • Responsible for the timely and successful execution of a variety of HR programs to ensure business requirements are being met according to company guidelines
  • Support sites with HR knowledge and assistance as needed

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology or related field required
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Human Resources or related field required
