POSITION AT A GLANCE:

Perks: Local driving route, home every night. This is a driver "shuttle" position, driving from our S. Windsor CT. sales center and delivering to our Naugatuck CT sales center.
Pay: $23.96-$26.96 (based on experience)
Schedule: Start time between 11:00am/12:00pm- 7:30pm/8:30pm (8 hour shifts plus OT when available)
Location: South Windsor, CT
Basic Requirements: Requires a CDL-A license and a minimum of 6 months of driving experience, 1+ yrs preferred.

Job Description

Behind the wheel of every shiny red Coca-Cola truck is a professional driver with a mission to deliver the greatest beverage brands with exceptional customer service. At Coke Northeast, our drivers play a vital part in making sure all of our iconic Coca-Cola products get to our local stores, restaurants, cafeterias or vending machines on time and in full.

The Driver – Double Bottom is responsible for transporting finished goods from a Production Center or Distribution Center to other Distribution Centers utilizing double trailers. As with all of our drivers, the Driver – Double Bottom is expected to fulfill the job duties in a professional, compliant, safe and timely manner.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Transport finished goods and raw materials between facilities
Load and unload finished goods and raw materials using a forklift or pallet jack
Check accuracy and stability of the load
Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections
Operate industrial vehicles and equipment
Connect and disconnect trailers
Maintain DOT time log, Bill of Lading and other paperwork as required
Maintain vehicle, product, equipment and other company property to company standards
Ensure compliance with regulatory and company policies and procedures

Job Requirements

Class A Commercial Driver’s License & Clean MVR Required
High school diploma, GED or equivalent preferred
1-3 years of general work experience required
1+ years of commercial driving experience preferred
Must have the ability to push and pull manual and powered material handling equipment (i.e., pallet jack, hand-truck etc.) containing product loads for a minimum of 100 yards without assistance
Must be self-motivated with a high degree of integrity and be able to perform job duties with minimal supervision on a timely basis
