Schedule: Monday- Friday 6 am-2:30pm 
Basic Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school certification preferred. Experience in building maintenance, with a focus on mechanical systems preferred.

Job Description

The Lead Building Technician will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance, repair, and operation of all building systems and equipment to ensure a safe, efficient, and reliable production facility environment.  This role ensures the smooth operation of our facility by creating a reliable environment for our production activities.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Lead the maintenance and repair activities for all building systems
  • Ensure proper operation of building equipment, including boilers, chillers, pumps, compressors, and other related systems.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and system failures, implementing corrective actions promptly to minimize downtime.
  • Develop and execute preventive maintenance plans to optimize equipment performance and prolong service life.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies, conducting regular inspections and maintaining accurate records.
  • Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for specialized repairs, installations, and maintenance services.
  • Maintain inventory of spare parts, tools, and equipment necessary for building maintenance activities.
  • Identify opportunities for energy savings and efficiency improvements within the facility, implementing sustainable practices where possible.
  • Respond to emergency situations, such as equipment failures, power outages, or other facility-related issues, ensuring swift resolution to minimize disruption.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in building maintenance, with a focus on mechanical systems.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and fire protection systems.
  • Experience with industrial equipment maintenance, including boilers, chillers, pumps, and compressors.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices.
