Job Description

The Space Manager is responsible for strategic development of space planning for all channels. This is accomplished through the forming and maintaining of relationships with our business partners.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Strategic Development of Category and Space Planning for: channels (Large, Small, and On Premise), Brand Portfolio (Sparkling and Still) and customers (all Channels)
  • Focus on retailer category development while also partnering closely with VPs of Sales/Senior Directors to support development on sales strategy
  • Provide leadership and continued stewardship for retailer’s beverage categories (Sparkling, Still and Warehouse)
  • Recommends space opportunities and risks for the beverage category at both a Customer and Channel level
  • Partner with Sales Teams in development of retailer annual business plans and programs to drive Coke Northeast market share, ensure plan has a relevant category strategy which will win in the market place
  • Act as brand champion for Coke Northeast by defining and driving overall brand objectives through the practice of category management techniques, delivering comprehensive category programs internally and across retail partners to drive product and brand initiatives
  • Support and management of Spring Sales Aid process
  • Support development of weekly and monthly frontline meeting templates

Job Requirements

  • Experience with Space Planning Software (JDA or equivalent)
  • Experience with data providers (Nielsen / IRI) - Preferred
  • 3-5 years in CPG Industry (Retail Sales, Category Management, Analyst) – Preferred
  • Customer/Sales Management Experience - Preferred
  • Advanced analytical capabilities: ability to draw insights and actions from data and ability to link category leadership strategies to customer strategies
  • Skill and aptitude with computer software (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Valid driver’s license, driving record within policy guidelines, and insurance that meets company requirements.
  • Ability to occasionally travel, as business needs require.
