Job Description
The Financial Analyst is responsible for providing financial planning, analysis, and reporting support to the organization. This role leverages financial and operational data to help guide business decisions, prepares reports, and monitors the financial health of the company. The Financial Analyst collaborates to develop budgets, track performance, and identify areas for improvement.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports
- Contribute to monthly, quarterly and annual close processes
- Analyze period end results; research and explain significant variations
- Assist with preparation of annual budget and other financial business planning
- Develop and analyze an activity-based costing structure for key business functions
- Track, rank and monitor compliance utilizing key business indicators
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required
- 1-2 years of Finance or general accounting work experience required
- SAP experience preferred
- Knowledge of GAAP preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Excel and Outlook
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Superior attention to detail and accuracy
- Valid driver’s license, driving record within policy guidelines, and insurance that meets company requirements
- Ability to occasionally travel, as business needs require
