Job Description
The Credit & Collections Supervisor is responsible for leading a team of Credit & Collection Analysts and overseeing the credit and collections process. The focus of this position is to provide research and analysis of customer billing and collection escalations, review creditworthiness of new and existing customers, and provide a high level support to the Analysts and Sales Centers along with other internal departments. The Credit & Collections Supervisor works closely with management, customers, sales and operational departments to provide reporting, achieve performance metrics, manage accounts and ensure the resolution of issues that occur with the collection of receivables. The ideal candidate for this position will have recent demonstrable experience with SAP along with experience working within the beverage industry.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Supervise and oversee the collections team and process for our local account portfolio by providing continuous coaching and development of collections team
- Promptly research, review and resolve escalated internal or external customer issues in accordance with SLAs and AR objectives
- Partner with sales organization to review and establish credit terms within established SLA guidelines
- Utilize multiple financial risk assessment tools as well as establish and maintain relationships with outside credit organizations
- Distribute weekly and monthly AR reporting to key stakeholders within the organization
- Work with management to document AR credit & collections process and provide training
- Foster important business relationships both internal and external to the organization
- Ensure organization financial policies and requirements are observed and work to drive strong controls and compliance
- Perform additional AR project work and responsibilities as requested by manager
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline preferred
- 5+ years of related Credit & Collections supervisory experience
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills both internal and external to the organization
- Recent hands on experience with SAP preferred
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including: Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint required
- Excellent problem solving, analysis, organizational and time management skills
- Customer Service mindset
- Ability to lead and thrive in a fast-paced changing environment
- Valid driver’s license, driving record within policy guidelines, and insurance that meets company requirements.
- Ability to occasionally travel, as business needs require
