Job Description
The Contract Accounting Manager will play a critical role in ensuring accurate financial management, reporting and analysis for all customer contract-related activities within Coke Northeast. This individual will collaborate closely with both the Key Account Team and the individual Sales Centers to establish and maintain accruals based on contract terms. The ideal candidate will have a background in accounting and finance, with strong organizational/analytical skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Monitor and track expenses related to the various contracts and terms.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements within Contract Management processes.
- Prepare accurate and timely analytical reports related to contract activities.
- Collaborate with the Finance team to ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.
- Communicate financial performance to key stakeholders, highlighting risks and opportunities.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to align financial goals with business objectives.
- Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedure requirements.
- Support internal and external audits related to contract activities.
- Identify and mitigate financial risks associated with contract initiatives.
- Maintain multiple accrual and reporting systems, ensuring data integrity and reconciliation to financial statements.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Several years’ experience in accounting or finance roles, preferably in the consumer goods or beverage industries.
- Strong understanding of contract principles and experience working closely with Key Account and Sales Center teams
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems (SAP) preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions.
- Detail-oriented, with a commitment to accuracy and integrity in financial reporting.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Ability to occasionally travel, as business needs require. Adherence to Company guidelines for driving records and insurance requirements.
