Job Summary

As a key member of the Sales and Merchandising Capabilities Team, the Sales Capability Manager is responsible for the training and development of both newly hired and tenured Account Managers.  This role captures strategies in onboarding all the way through continuing education.  This role will develop our sales team to live Liberty Coca-Cola LLC’s Values, Mission, and Vision with a focus on Safety, Caring, Growth, and Results.  Collaboration with cross functional teams will be critical to this role, in order to meet the demands of segmented locations.

This role will also include having a direct report (Merch Training Specialist)



  • Collaborate with Human Resources to support intensive orientation and introductory on-boarding
  • Conduct in-depth, instructor- led sales capability training for both new and tenured associates
  • Conduct route rides and assessments with new associates

Strategy Training

  • Deliver strategy based capability building for Large/Small Store and FSOP
  • Provide expertise and resources on key program launches that enhance and optimize execution and results
  • Assess the impact and ROI of capabilities trainings on both employees and leadership while working in collaboration with cross functional teams to ensure highest rates of effectiveness are met

Capability Assessments

  • Conduct capability assessments through route rides and collaboration with local leadership
  • Debrief local leadership on frontline capabilities and developmental areas
  • Develop action plans to address execution gaps

High Focus Areas

  • Continual education and focus on current and future strategies; IE; RED/MSC, Digital Strategies (MyCoke, Dashboards, Sales Planning Effectives, etc)
  • Maintain and improve on a culture of safety, engagement, and execution
  • Participate in local sales meetings in order to become part of the local teams
  • Desire and ability to be in the field <33%


  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  •  2+ years’ experience in consumer products/direct store delivery sales required
  • Experience leading and developing teams both directly and indirectly
  • Ability to be self-starter
  • Intermediate computer skills
  • Ability and comfort in creating and presenting content to both frontline associates and leadership
  • Valid Driver’s license and driving record within MVR policy guidelines
