Summary

The Training Specialist is responsible for providing training support for current and newly hired Merchandisers, Driver Merchandisers and facilitating onboarding for newly hired associates. The Training Specialist will create drive and manage the Merchandising Onboarding initiative. This position is responsible for supporting multiple teams and covering various territories. This position will report into the General Manager, with strong ties to the District Sales Supervisors, District Sales Managers, and Distribution team. This position will also assist with additional merchandising and sales projects on an as needed basis. 

Responsibilities

  • Create, drive, deliver and manage the Merchandising Onboarding initiative with support from the L&D team 
  • Perform route rides with newly hired associates to support DSS with the Onboarding process 
  • Drive a culture of building Brand Ambassadors within our Merchandising teams 
  • Assist District Sales Supervisors and Distribution Supervisors in identifying potential training gaps with current teams 
  • Help build additional training to bring Merchandising Best Practices to all facilities 
  • Foster a fun, result driven work environment that achieves results in a safe, professional, and ethical environment 
  • Partner with sales, L&D, and other teams when necessary to support additional projects related to Merchandiser and Sales Teams training and development 

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required. 
  • Bachelor's degree preferred. 
  • Excellent Communication and People Management Skills 
  • 1-3 years experience in consumer products required. 
  • Prior beverage industry experience preferred. 
  • Computer and database application skills. 
  • Familiarity with DOT regulations preferred. 
  • Ability to operate a manual/powered pallet jack or lift product. 
  • Valid driver's license and driving record within MVR policy guidelines, pallet jack certification as required 
  • certification as required 

Schedule: This position requires flexibility in early morning, weekend, and/or evening work as well as travel across Liberty territory .
