Summary
The Distribution Clerk provides administrative and operational support to the Distribution team. This position works closely with Distribution Supervisors and drivers to support daily operations, including driver check-in, inbound load coordination, inventory activities, data entry, and recordkeeping.
Responsibilities
- Support Distribution Supervisors and drivers with daily operational needs.
- Handle driver check-in and required documentation.
- Assist with coordinating inbound loads.
- Perform data entry and maintain accurate records and files.
- Conduct inventory audits and report discrepancies.
- Answer and direct telephone calls and respond to routine inquiries.
- Communicate with drivers, supervisors, warehouse personnel, and other internal teams.
- Provide general administrative and clerical support to the Distribution department.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Safety Responsibilities
- Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and safe work practices.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow required safety protocols when working in or entering warehouse and distribution areas.
- Immediately report unsafe conditions, incidents, or safety concerns to management.
- Participate in required safety training and promote a safety-focused work environment.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous administrative, distribution, transportation, warehouse, or logistics experience preferred.
- Basic computer and data entry skills; SAP experience preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Bilingual skills are a plus.
