Minimum Salary:  $95,000

Maximum Salary:  $115,000

Job Summary

The Sr. Manager of Distribution Operations will oversee the operations management of the Distribution and Fleet department. The Sr. Manager will ensure all logistics activities for the South Brunswick and Lodi facility are operating efficiently (delivery, merchandising, etc.…) In addition, will oversee the operations and maintenance of the Fleet department and the leadership development of the personnel in Distribution and Fleet.  The Sr.  Manager of Distribution Operations is accountable for the internal audit, safety and quality assurance standards, and all external regulatory requirements; will collaborate with counterparts in sales, transportation, and warehouse to ensure supply chain effectiveness, as well as internal and external customer service satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic & tactical plans to meet defined company and facility goals.
  • Establishes quantitative and qualitative metrics, guidelines, and standards by which the company’s efficiency and effectiveness can be evaluated.
  • Conduct continual in-depth evaluations of logistics processes to identify and implement productivity improvements and cost-saving programs to ensure the delivery of the financial operating plan.
  • Maintain accountability for operational effectiveness by ensuring that direct reports have the support needed to effectively manage their departments and direct reports; meeting or exceeding all expectations for facility key business indicators such as labor and operating expenses, customer and business focused KBI’s; and overseeing the execution.
  • Implement continuous improvement methods, maintain customer focus and embody company purpose and values to inspire team.
  • Direct, lead, and motivate a team to deliver results by communicating company goals, safety practices, and deadlines; engage and develop teammates through effective performance management, coaching and training.
  • Hire, train, develop, and benchmark the talent of new and existing employees to ensure a motivated, skilled and efficient workforce.
  • Build, motivate and lead cross-functional teams across the organization to achieve established corporate goals. Conduct regular cadence of meetings and intentional interaction and collaboration with business partners in Supply Chain, Transportation, Quality, Finance, Human Resources and Safety.
  • Additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience with a high school diploma
  • 5 to 7 years of experience in distribution, transportation or supply chain management industry required.
