Job Overview

The Production Lead is responsible for assisting the Manufacturing Shift Manager and/or Production Supervisor(s) in all areas of Production Operations by providing support and guidance to the team, assisting with training of production personnel and processes, and maintaining the ability to provide expertise and hands-on assistance in any area of production operations when required.

The Production Lead provides feedback on performance to the Production Supervisor(s) and/or Manufacturing Shift Manager, assists in interviewing potential candidates, helps coordinate work for the assigned team, and provides guidance and support to specific areas of responsibility and/or teams as designated by the Manufacturing Shift Manager and/or Production Supervisor(s).

This role supports the production department by providing input and feedback on processes and team performance while promoting all policies, safety procedures, goals, expectations, and CCCI’s purpose and values.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Supports daily production activities to ensure safe, efficient operations
  • Leads pre- and post-shift meetings and communicates key updates to the team
  • Ensures production processes and systems (e.g., SAP, D4A, Altizon) are followed and accurate
  • Performs equipment setup, startup, operation, and changeovers across multiple machines
  • Monitors production, inspects product quality, and makes adjustments to maintain standards
  • Conducts quality checks and communicates results to support teams
  • Trains new team members and provides day-to-day guidance on the production line
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

Preferred certifications or training may include:

  • Forklift certification
  • Lockout/Tagout (LOTO)
  • Hazard Communication (HazCom)
  • Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

Additional equipment-specific or on-the-job training may also be required

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1 to up to 3 years of relevant work experience

Preferred Qualifications

3 to 5 years of leadership and manufacturing experience preferred

Work Environment

Manufacturing Environment: Noisy, wet, and extreme temperature environment
