Job Overview

This position serves as a strategic leader for quality and compliance across multiple manufacturing and distribution sites within a matrixed organization. This role ensures consistent execution of corporate quality standards by developing policies, overseeing risk management practices, and directing food safety initiatives in alignment with regulatory and customer expectations. The position acts as a key liaison with external stakeholders, including major brand owners and vendors—while guiding site-level teams through training, audit readiness, and continuous improvement. With broad authority and significant travel, the manager drives a unified quality culture across all facilities.

Duties & Responsibilities

  •  Enterprise Consolidated Management System – Development, deployment and maintenance of the Consolidated Management System and associated Document Management System.  Develops and deploys corporate quality policies, standards, and governance framework enterprise wide.  
  •  Quality Strategy & Governance Mfg. dock doors to the Consumer – Develops and deploys quality and food safety processes, training and oversight across warehousing, distribution, and Sales..
  • Incident Management & Consumer Affairs – Lead cross-functional response to quality incidents, consumer complaints, product holds and recalls.  Ensures root cause analysis and CAPA execution.
  •  Team Leadership – Lead and mentor a team of quality, incident management, Quality Systems and Consumer Affairs professionals.
  •  Audit & Compliance – Develops, deploys and maintains Consolidated’s Internal Audit Program, and ensures audit readiness across warehousing and distribution centers.
  • Metrics, Reporting & Performance Monitoring– Enterprise Quality Strategy & Governance (Manufacturing Dock doors to Consumer)
  • Corporate Projects & Change Initiatives – Leads or supports cross-functional initiatives such as new product launches, qualifications, system upgrades, etc.
     

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

•    HACCP & Food Safety Systems: Deep knowledge of Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points, FSMA, GFSI and ISO 22000
•    Regulatory Compliance: Strong command of FDA, USDA, and international food safety regulations
•    Quality Management Systems (QMS): High level of proficiency in implementing and auditing Management Systems across the company. Development, deployment and maintenance of the Consolidated Management System and related Document Management System.
•    Risk Assessment & Root Cause Analysis: Expertise in tools like FMEA, 5 Whys, and Fishbone diagrams
•    Product Recall & Crisis Management Leadership: The ability to lead a team through a Quality or Food Safety incident or crisis.
•    Multi-site Oversight: Experience in developing and managing quality and food safety programs across manufacturing, distribution centers and Sales Centers.
•    Matrixed Communication: Skilled in influencing without direct authority across departments and reporting lines.
•    Vendor & Customer Engagement: Ability to represent the company with brand owners (e.g., TCCC, KDO, Monster) and key suppliers
•    Project Management:  Extensive skills in Leading cross-functional initiatives, harmonizing SOP’s, and driving continuous improvement
•    Onboarding & Development: Designing and delivering training programs for Warehousing, Distribution and Sales Teams.
•    Food Safety Culture Champion: Driving awareness, accountability, and engagement at all organizational levels
•    Audit: Development of Consolidate’s Internal Auditing Program, coaching facilities (manufacturing and DC’s)for internal, third-party, and regulatory audits
 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 7 years of experience or knowledge acquired through work

  • Bachelor's degree in scientific or technical field
