Job Overview

The Supervisor, Warehouse Process will be a deployable role that will allow the Warehouse function to quickly react and send support to locations that are struggling with their overall performance.  This role will also be able to be sent to locations proactively as well to assist local leaders with new warehouse and business implementations. This will be a partner and resource to the local leadership team to quickly identify and fix gaps in the warehouse operation that are causing disruptions in the business.  Incumbents will need to be versed in all aspects of Warehouse and Automation operations and able to provide training, development, coaching to front-line teammates as well as operational and process recommendations to the local leaders.  This role will also be able to fill in when leadership gaps are present within the operations and temporarily serve as that location's warehouse point of contact.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Partners with Local Leadership to establish and prioritize critical improvement areas for the warehouse and assists in design and implementation of action plans to close those gaps
  • Actively participates in the full employee life cycle at assigned locations in terms of interviewing, hiring, and training new employees, providing training and development to existing employees, as well as partnering with local leaders to provide appropriate coaching and corrective actions
  • May work directly within the warehouse operation to address staffing gaps until adequate headcount has been identified and brought into the operation
  • Fills in for Local Warehouse Managers and Supervisors when there are staffing gaps present or may also assist in short-term coverage gaps around vacation or other time away scenarios
  • On weeks of non-travel will serve as an additional leadership resource at home branch location
  • Serve as participants in the warehouse contingency plans that arise due to any labor stoppages
  • Planning, coordinating, and performing associated administrative activities for travel and logistics for 70 to 80% travel

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Must be able to qualify, successfully perform, and train for all job duties within the Warehouse
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel extensively (70 to 80%); excellent personal adaptability to new environments, geographies, and people

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED

  • Knowledge acquired through 1 to up to 3 years of work experience

  • Valid Driver’s License with an excellent driving record

  • PIT Certifications
