Job Overview

The Senior Manager of Dedicated Operations is a full-time role within the Operations Department and is responsible for the oversight of all RCT asset-based dedicated businesses. The position carries full ownership of financial and service-related performance. The Senior Manager of Dedicated Operations will work closely with the VP of Operations, on-site Dedicated Managers, and the Sales Department to maximize revenue through the development of incremental business opportunities and expansion of the existing business. This position will be tasked with maintaining dedicated customer relationships, ensuring service to customer accounts, managing reports, and scorecards for gauging performance, and finding solutions to financial and service-related challenges. The Senior Manager of Dedicated Operations will be expected to provide business updates and critical reports to the Leadership Team consistently, alongside recommendations. Development of employees, hiring, and succession planning are likewise critical components of the position.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Pursue and maximize revenue opportunities through expansion of existing business, operational optimization, or opportunistic incremental adds
• Develop innovative solutions for improvement of service level performance, route efficiency, driver, asset utility, employee turnover, and empty percentage
• Drive goal compliance across reporting operations through performance monitoring, accountability, reassessment of operational models, personnel mentorship, and education
• Collaborate with supporting departments, develop internal relationships, provide support to other operational entities, and take part in strategic business initiatives
• Develop, nurture, and secure customer account relationships through performance, awareness of customer needs, and cultivation of trust
• Ensure compliance with RCT company policy, DOT, FMCSA safety regulations, and customer standards across all reporting operations

• Transportation Management Software (TMS) Systems (TMW Preferred) Background
• Sat COMM Platforms (People Net Preferred) Background
• Comdata,EFS Fuel Management Background
• Proficient in Tableau Reporting
• Proficient in Excel Reporting
• History of Metric Driven Performance Management
• Ability to work under stress while remaining professional at all times
• Ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented both verbally and in writing
• Ability to recognize, evaluate and resolve problems using independent judgment

Minimum Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or up to 3 years of college or technical school

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge acquired through 7 or more years of work experience
• College Field Of Study: a) Logistics and Supply Chain b) Business Management
• Alternative Work Experience: a) 5 years of supervisory experience b) 7 years+ of trucking industry experience c) 7 years+ of dedicated account management experience in trucking
