Job Overview
The Equipment Control Coordinator (Equip Control Coordinator) position sets up the removal or repair of faulty equipment at customer sites that are damaged or unusable. The position also assists in setting trailer parts, managing trailer levels at customers, calculating and compiling trailer detention to be billed to the customer by getting information into our finance team. Also works hand in hand with the Field Operations and Customer Service functions when equipment is in question for any reason with our customers. This position compiles trailer dwell information from our customers into spreadsheets and distributes that within the Operations, Equipment Control, Sales, and Customer Service teams.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Maintains par levels of trailers at all Customers using Fleet Locate, a GPS tracking device and software utilized to track RCT trailers, and other trailer tracking systems. This process is to ensure our customers have the agreed upon number of trailers to operate efficiently
- Assigns Trailers in the Fleet Locate system and is accountable for setting up trailer pars, pools for customers, to determine to be the number of trailers needed to operate the business between the customer and transportation provider
- Tracks, communicates, and submits trailer dwell, detention charges to Finance for billing purposes
- Trailers that exceed the contracted dwell time rate are tracked and then charges are compiled until the trailer is offloaded, then invoicing is submitted to the customer
- Maintains operable trailers at our customer sites and coordinates the repair or removal of those that are damaged or that are not fully operable
- Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications
- 2 years of education beyond high school in college or technical school
- Associate’s degree or up to 3 years of college or technical school
- Knowledge acquired through up to 12 months of work experience
