Job Overview
The Operational Risk Manager supports the company’s enterprise-wide risk management strategy, focusing on safety, loss prevention, and protecting both employees and company assets. This role plays a key part in reducing the frequency and severity of accidental losses by integrating risk and security practices into core business operations to drive greater efficiency. The position is also responsible for providing analytical support across Operational Risk, Claims, and Loss Prevention functions. A major focus will be on automating systems and processes to enhance operational efficiency and improve existing capabilities. The role includes defining and operating within governance frameworks, developing and executing database queries, and conducting insightful data analyses. Additionally, the Operational Risk Manager creates documentation, delivers training, and provides support to business leaders, with a strong emphasis on maintaining data accuracy and integrity.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Ownership of risk and safety technology-based programs, systems, and initiatives [LMS training, HireRight, Alert Media] through supporting the Director Operational Risk, our business partners (ex. Legal, HR, Sales Operations) for effective organizational change efforts and initiatives.
- Manages system and database structure, data integrity/quality, and maintenance for all Risk and Security information systems and platforms such as Unify, Navex, Gallagher-Bassett, Origami, Lytx DriveCam, Fusion Risk Management (Business Continuity), Alert Media, SuperVision, etc. In addition, this role would serve as a liaison between IT and Risk Management, establishing technical guidance and administration of all data connections.
- Establish the aggregation of data from multiple sources to provide clarity of risks, concerns, and outcomes of decisions (Unify – physical abilities testing and fit-for-duty). Collaboration with internal Risk teammates and cross-functional departments to effectively analyze and present data. Monitoring of internal and external data points to impact risk decision-making.
- Leads data reporting through gathering, managing, and analyzing internal claim data, targeting frequency reduction and cost trends. This would include creation of reports, dashboards, presentations, and process documents to display results. (e.g., Tableu, PowerBI, PowerPoint, SharePoint Online). For Security, coordinating and developing automated usage reports with Galaxy (used by CAAS, HR, Facilities).
- Identifies and resolves data reporting issues in a timely fashion, while looking for continuous improvement opportunities. Troubleshoots and performs root cause analysis on systems issues, across platforms and systems to ensure quick service restoration of problems.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree and 3 to up to 5 years’ experience
Preferred Qualifications
- B.S. in Business Admin, Finance, or Statistics
