Job Overview
The Corporate Accounting Analyst II will assist in the preparation and review of the Company's external filings. Additional responsibilities will include technical accounting research, monthly and quarterly close activities, facilitation of external audit questions and requests, and other special accounting projects. This position will help analyze financial statement fluctuations and provide other accounting and advisory services to various departments on an ad-hoc basis. Lastly, this position will be responsible for facilitating the continuous improvement of financial processes and controls related to Corporate Accounting and SEC Reporting.
Duties & Responsibilities
• Assist in the planning, documentation, and preparation of the quarterly 10-Q and annual 10-K filing, including the incorporation of draft comments and process enhancements
• Participates in Month/Quarter/Year End Close Activities with a focus on financial statements, reporting, and internal and external audit support
• Perform technical accounting research and assist with other technical accounting projects
• Coordinates with internal and external audit teams on audit requests to ensure audit deliverables are completed promptly
• Analyzes Financial Statements in an accurate and timely manner to assist in informed decision making
• Regularly reviews and evaluates the Company's internal control structure, working in conjunction with PwC and CAAS to optimize internal controls and ensure controls are operating effectively
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
• A strong knowledge of technical accounting (US GAAP, SEC regulations) and experience in the internal/external audit process will be extremely beneficial in this role
• Strong interpersonal and written communication skills as well as the ability to work cross-functionally within (and outside of) the Finance team
• Intermediate Excel skills (pivot tables and vlookups)
• Experience with large ERP systems (SAP preferred)
Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor degree (4 years in Accounting, Finance or related field)
• Knowledge acquired through 3 to 5 years of work experience
Preferred Qualifications
CPA is strongly preferred for this role
