Job Overview

The Compensation Analyst II is responsible for developing, analyzing, and implementing compensation programs that attract, retain and motivate top talent across the organization. This position supports the organization by ensuring that pay practices are competitive, equitable, and aligned with business objectives. This role is responsible for analyzing, evaluating, and maintaining core compensation policies, programs, and processes (including job evaluation, salary structure development, survey participation, incentive plan design, and base pay structure development) to support the organization's business initiatives and strategic goals. The Compensation Analyst II will identify areas of opportunity to improve existing Compensation processes and maximize technological capabilities to reduce manual processes and to improve data management and efficiency. Additionally, this position monitors Compensation programs, practices, and policies in compliance with applicable federal, state, and local statutes.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Research, Analyze and provide recommendations aligned with external market data to internal jobs and grades, external competitiveness, business conditions, legal requirements and economic impact to resolve compensation opportunities across the enterprise.

• Assists management in developing recommendations and changes to Compensation plans, programs, and associated documents based on changing organizational needs, operational changes and updates in regulations, including the preparation and delivery of recommendations through Senior Leader presentations to gain support and sponsorship.

• Partner with Compensation and HR Field teams, providing analytics, educational presentations, tools and resources to assist in the design, modeling, and administration of base pay structures, incentive programs and recognition initiatives that support business growth.

• Lead cross functional projects around Compensation matters, ensuring strong stakeholder collaboration to drive adherence too agreed upon guidelines, as well as applicable local and federal laws.

• Advise HR partners and leaders on compensation-related decisions, policies and guidelines.

• Lead efforts, in collaboration with HRIS, IT and BI to ensure dashboards and reporting that provide accurate information, to assist in decision making, program improvement and strategic direction.

• Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Microsoft Excel Superuser (VLOOKUP’s, pivots, databases, macros)
  • Strong understanding of PowerPoint with experience creating executive level presentations
  • Extensive HR systems reporting, HR process and project management experience
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and time-management skills
  • Demonstrated experience/maturity to handle confidential and sensitive information
  • Possess a positive, service-oriented attitude with excellent follow-through on issues
  • Effective organizational interpersonal skills including written and verbal communication skills
  • Previous exposure to project-related activities through active participation in system-related projects

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (4 years)
  • Knowledge acquired through minimum 5 to 7 years of experience in compensation analysis or related HR discipline

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Statistics, Business Administration, Finance or Economics.
  • Three (3) years of increasing responsibility in data analysis, market research, and comprehensive knowledge of Compensation.
