Job Overview
The Community Specialist is accountable for corporate teammate community programs, including ownership of execution for Tier 3 internal and external programs. This role collaborates cross-functionally with internal teams and external stakeholders to coordinate program logistics, foster relationships with nonprofit and corporate partners, tracking program impact, and ensuring seamless execution of community-focused initiatives. The Community Specialist is responsible for budget oversight for multiple community programs under $100,000 each.
Duties & Responsibilities
Community Engagement & Corporate Programs
- Responsible for executing the company’s “Seat at the Table” and corporate community teammate events.
- Ownership of tracking and data collection of teammate engagement programs, including volunteerism, giving campaigns, and recognition efforts.
- Act as internal and external point of contact for community partnerships, serving as a liaison between external partners and internal teams.
- Oversee sponsorship requests, product donations, and report outcomes.
Program Leadership & Execution
- Lead development and execution for Tier 3 community activations and corporate teammate engagement events.
- Ownership of event execution, vendor coordination, logistics, and communications.
- Responsible for budget oversight for community programs under $100,000 applying sound judgement to spending decisions.
- Support senior leadership in attending and representing the company at key community events.
Administrative Support
- Assist the Senior Director in project management, scheduling, and strategic planning.
- Responsible for communicating reports and related documents for community programs and impact metrics.
- Prepare presentations, reports, and materials for leadership meetings.
- Serve as facilitator and liaison between internal departments and external community partners.
Communication/Brand Alignment
- Collaborate with Communications and Marketing teams to amplify community initiatives through internal and external channels.
- Support storytelling efforts by capturing impact stories, testimonials, and event recaps.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date content for digital platforms, including SharePoint, OneTeam, etc.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with one to three years of relevant experience
- Proven experience in community engagement, event planning, nonprofit partnerships or related field
- Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
- Flexibility to work outside of normal business hours for events and program-related needs
- Financial management for tier 3 programs, with ability to analyze program impact and create data-driven reports
