Job Overview
The Business Systems Manager works with various department heads to gather requirements and help determine processes that improve efficiencies and, or deliver cost savings to the company. This role helps develop governance and work within agreed-upon governance, based upon current volume, the magnitude of request, and defined business objectives. Creates documentation, training, and training videos assigned to apps and processes. Provides a base level of reporting, including usage and SLAs, etc. to business leaders. Works with department heads to roll out Assigned Apps and processes and provide ongoing support.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Meets with sales and strategic business leaders across the organization to understand gaps and desired business outcomes. Partners with leaders to gather requirements and to propose a service level agreement for the intended request
- Partners cross-functionally to gather business requirements and works with IT to construct wireframes and gather alignment, to support enterprise-wide business needs and to understand objectives help define solutions and processes that improve efficiencies and, or deliver cost savings to the company
- Reviews and performs the analysis of system features and relates existing systems, applications, and security to future needs and trends, provides engineering recommendations and resolves integration and testing issues
- Oversees the testing and evaluation of apps and processes to ensure the finished product meets current and future requirements; conducts feasibility studies on tactical plans
- Documents processes, procedures for use, troubleshooting information, and training for user adoption
- Reports on app usage, trends, and areas of opportunity, to support business leaders in making informed decisions
- Directs, leads, and motivates the FP and A function to deliver results by communicating company goals and deadlines
- Engaging and developing teammates through effective performance management, coaching, and training
- Implementing continuous improvement methods while maintaining customer focus
- Embodying company purpose and values to inspire servant leadership
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Proficient in relationship building
- Competent problem solver that is solution-oriented
- Proven Project Management, Microsoft Office expert skills required, basic knowledge of SharePoint, some SQL preferred
- Continuous improvement mindset
- Ability to prioritize multiple assignments with deadlines (Look for the ROI)
- Ability to collaborate and communicate cross-functionally
- Demonstrates integrity and adaptability
- Knowledge of app development
- Expert with mobile devices and apps
Minimum Qualifications
- 2 years of education beyond high school in college or technical school
- Knowledge acquired through 1 to up to 3 years of work experience
