Role Details

As a Small Format, Field Activator  you’ll bring Coke Canada’s Toronto Red Zone strategy to life in our small format team by driving field execution, merchandising, and high‑impact brand activation across priority neighborhoods leading into FIFA 2026.

  • Work Location – Toronto
  • Seasonal Position- April/May-August
  • Salary/Hourly Rate- $22.00/hour & $0.62/km for mileage

About This Opportunity

Under the supervision of the Red Zone District Sales Manager (DSM) and the Red Zone Sales Development Managers (SDM), the Red Zone Activator plays a key role in bringing Coke Canada’s Toronto Red Zone strategy to life by supporting field execution, recruitment, merchandising, and activation across priority neighbourhoods, leading into FIFA 2026. This role supports the dedicated Red Zone SDMs and contributes directly to delivering an unmissable brand presence across key customer locations.

For this position, the individuals will be based out of our Brampton facility; however, this is an in‑market, hands‑on, customer‑facing role ideal for post-secondary students looking to gain experience in sales, merchandising, marketing activation, and major‑event execution.

Responsibilities

Customer Conversion & Sales Support

  • Assist SDMs with customer conversions and building relationships across FSOP, SS, and select accounts within the Red Zone.
  • Support prospecting efforts and identify opportunities to expand Coca‑Cola presence in priority neighbourhoods.

Execution of Point Of Sale (POS) & Activation Tools

  • Execute our Red Zone activation tools, including POS placement, signage, window treatments, digital displays, and merchandising.
  • Assist with cooler setups, patio setups, and onsite branding to transition customers within the priority areas.

InStore & OnSite Merchandising

  • Complete in-store execution tasks such as stocking coolers and racking, display building, SKU compliance, and ensuring premium presentation standards.
  • Support execution indoors and outdoors (patios, streetscapes, windows, entrances), depending on customer type.

Red Zone & Key Account Property Market Visits

  • Participate in Red Zone market visits alongside DSMs, SDMs and Alternative Route to Market (ARTM) teams to prep for FIFA 2026 activation.
  • Support execution across prestige properties and major events properties within and outside the Red Zone.

Collaboration & CrossFunctional Support

  • Work closely with the full Red Zone team—including SDMs from Food Service & On Premise and Small Format channels and ARTM—to support strategies, relationship building, and execution.

Qualifications

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Strong communicator with comfort interacting in customer environments.
  • High energy, adaptable, and able to thrive in fast‑paced, urban field settings.
  • Detail‑oriented with strong executional discipline.
  • Ability to work independently and within a structured team environment.
  • Physically able to support merchandising tasks (lifting, carrying, movement of displays).
  • Interest in sales, marketing, events, or customer experience.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Highschool diploma required
  • Current post‑secondary student eligible – available to work weekends only until April, then full-time May – August.
  • Experience in Consumer Packaged Goods an asset
  • Experience in business administrative or operational support an asset
  • Experience in retail, sales, merchandising, or events is an asset, but not required.
  • Valid G Driver License, clean abstract and personal vehicle required
  • Excellent command of MS Office suite
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Dynamic and strong sense of initiative
  • Utilizes problem-solving skills to resolve issues
  • Strong work ethic coupled with a growth mindset attitude
  • Builds and maintains strong business relationships
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple priorities

Work Environment

  • Field‑based across Toronto’s core Red Zone neighbourhoods
  • Frequent outdoor work, high-foot-traffic settings, and support for high‑visibility consumer-facing activations.
  • Major‑event environment exposure

Physical Requirements

  • Walking for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to lift and carry weights up to 50 lbs
  • Reaching, stooping and bending
