About This Opportunity
DSD Senior Planner (Sales & Logistics) is part of the Supply Chain Operations team reporting to the DSD Planning. Manager. The candidate will collaborate closely with field supervisors, managers, GM’s and other stakeholders across the organization to ensure that service level goals are achieved, schedules & Plans are optimized, and initiatives/pilots are planned as efficiently as possible.
This is a hybrid position, 3 days in office and 2 days working from home. This is an 18 Month Maternity Leave Coverage, end date will be upon 18 months of employment or the return of the incumbent from mat leave.
Depending on the successful candidates residency, they will be working based out of the office in that province. (ON, SK, AB, BC, MB, QC)
Responsibilities
• Collaborate directly with local DC’s and other internal stakeholders to create both Tactical and Strategic Sales & Distribution plans that execute strategies to reduce operating expenses and provide optimal customer service.
• Perform various analytical tasks for both sales and delivery territories utilizing TRP, and other software including Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.
• Maintain all data necessary to utilize and maintain department processes & tools, including Sales & Delivery frequency reconciliation and maintenance, set-up of new customers, resource maintenance and all other 'back end' set-ups required.
• Post analysis of planning effectiveness and various ad hoc analysis to support continuous improvement.
• Open forum communication with assigned Sales Office to analyze current Sales & Distribution plans, resources and scheduling based on geography, selling method, and delivery mode.
• Project work as assigned.
• Support as needed.
Qualifications
Highly self-motivated and self-directed with the ability to balance multiple assignments without close supervision and ability to lead change efforts on new initiatives and processes when needed.
• Demonstrates flexibility and takes the initiative when appropriate, uses good judgment and make decisions quickly.
• Direct customer selling and/or distribution experience preferred.
• Candidate should have a good understanding of our current business operations model; specifically Sales Structure and Distribution operations.
• 3 or more years of Planning experience.
• Intermediate or Advanced proficiency with PC applications, including MS Excel & SAP.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze, problem-solve and provide viable solutions based on customer needs and company objectives
• Proven ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing in English, French is an asset.
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills
• Demonstrated ability to understand policies/guidelines and use them as intended
• Must be able to effectively overcome roadblocks and ensure the highest integrity in the data and tools provided and work collaboratively with the various stakeholders within the organization.
