About This Opportunity
We are looking for a Senior Category Commercial Manager - Energy to join our Commercial Growth Strategy & Execution team. This role involves overseeing all commercial and customer initiatives for the Energy category, integrating business plan choices across functions to achieve financial, strategic, and executional goals.
As a Senior Category Commercial Manager, you will leverage your strategic, collaborative, and execution skills to work effectively with brand partners, operations, sales, finance, and Revenue Growth Management (RGM) teams, ensuring the successful planning and execution of various category initiatives.

Responsibilities
- Collaborate with brand partners and the Director to set strategy, develop annual and three-year plans, and lead execution to drive profitable share growth of the energy portfolio
- Manage the innovation pipeline and associated activities for the Energy category and lead the stages and gates process for the category
- Collaborate with brand and commercial teams to optimize package and flavor assortment based on consumer insights
- Ensure new SKUs are profitable, commercially viable, and successfully executed in the market
- Lead and participate in regular meetings with senior business stakeholders to review business health and develop plans to address risks and opportunities
- Collaborate with Brand Partners and Category/Channel Strategy owners to develop Canadian Sales Decks, supporting the sell-in of Coca-Cola Limited (CCL) and Partner innovations with National Retail Sales (NRS) and local account teams
- Collaborate with RGM, Commercial Execution, Brand Partners, and NRS/Field Sales to develop action plans to maximize results against the business plan
- Spearhead the development of scorecards for innovation and category, emphasizing Brand, Pack, Price, and Channel to strategically target priority occasions, shoppers, and missions, while seamlessly integrating with National Sales and Field Sales teams
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or Economics
- Master’s of Business Administration (MBA) is preferred
- 8+ years of experience in Category Management, Strategy, Brand Management or Business Management within the CPG industry
- Experience in P&L management, including the ability to analyze financial data, forecast revenue, and manage expenses
- Demonstrated ability to navigate complex organizational structures and effectively influence senior stakeholders Proven track record of building relationships, leading cross-functional teams, and driving strong results
- Excellent strategic and analytical skills, along with a proven track record of thought-leadership
- Proven ability to extract insights and formulate strategies based on factual data
- Advanced data analysis skills, including proficiency with AC Nielsen, advanced Excel (pivot tables, data mining). and/or CRAFT/Margin Minder
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills
