Role Details
- Work Location – Toronto, ON
- Hybrid Environment – This position currently offers a hybrid work schedule. Subject to change. The in-office requirement is a minimum of three days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday), with the flexibility to work remotely on the remaining days.
- Salary – $121,500- $135,000 annually
- Initial Posting Close Date – October 21, 2026
The starting base salary is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, role complexity, experience and internal equity.
About This Opportunity
We are recruiting a Senior Finance Manager to join our Customer Finance team. This role will serve as the strategic finance lead for a portfolio of major retail customers, partnering closely with Senior Sales Directors, National Account Directors, and cross-functional leaders to drive profitable growth.
The Senior Finance Manager will have end-to-end ownership of customer-level financial performance, including P&L management, trade investment governance, forecasting, pricing strategy, and long-range financial planning. They will also lead and develop a team, ensuring strong business partnership, high-quality financial support, and operational excellence.”

Responsibilities
- Provide senior-level financial leadership for customer P&Ls, delivering insights, strategic recommendations, and decision support to Senior Sales Directors and customer leadership teams.
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of Finance Managers by setting priorities, reviewing deliverables, building capabilities, and fostering a high-performance culture.
- Ensure the integrity of Trade Promotion Management (TPM) data and its alignment with financial systems, partnering with IT, Revenue Growth Management (RGM), and Sales to maintain accurate trade spend, promotional calendars, and customer investment tracking.
- Oversee customer performance analysis, including rigorous reviews of forecast-to-actual results across volume, rate, mix, gross profit, and trade spend, with clear explanations of key business drivers.
- Own customer profitability modelling, including full P&L builds, scenario and sensitivity analyses, and ROI assessments for trade investments and promotional programs.
- Lead annual customer revenue and business planning, aligning customer strategies, promotional calendars, investment levels, and financial targets while balancing customer growth ambitions with internal profit and margin objectives.
- Shape customer pricing and trade investment strategies by evaluating pricing architecture, trade spend classification, and promotional effectiveness in partnership with RGM and Advanced Analytics.
- Review and approve pricing and trade spend submissions, ensuring alignment with business plans and supporting customer requests with robust financial justification.
- Deliver accurate and timely revenue rate forecasts for Rolling Estimates and other financial planning cycles.
- Deliver executive-ready reporting that highlights variances to plan and forecast, identifies risks and opportunities, and recommends clear actions.
- Ensure compliance and audit readiness for pricing, trade spend documentation, and trade investment governance, proactively resolving discrepancies.
- Support senior-level customer presentations by developing clear financial narratives, profitability insights, and strategic recommendations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field required.
- MBA, CPA, CFA, or equivalent designation preferred.
- 7+ years of progressive finance experience, ideally in CPG, retail, or customer finance.
- Proven experience leading and developing teams through coaching and performance management.
- Strong financial acumen, with a proven track record of translating complex data into strategic insights and recommendations.
- Demonstrated success influencing senior leaders and collaborating with Sales, RGM, Supply Chain, Customer Solutions, and other cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication and financial storytelling skills.
- Strategic and proactive mindset, with experience navigating ambiguity, mitigating risk, and identifying opportunities for process improvement and value creation.
- High integrity and commitment to accurate and ethical financial practices.
- Proven capacity to manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines.
