About This Opportunity

 

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Alternative Route-to-Market (ARTM), the Sales Development Manager – Alternative Route-to-Market plays a key role in driving sales growth and strengthening our partnerships with Indirect Sales Distributors (ISDs). This position works closely with Coke Canada and Indirect sales distributors (ISD) field sales to service mutual customers and identify new business opportunities. Success in this role requires strong relationship management, sales execution, and business development skills. The primary focus is on expanding product mix distribution, increasing market share, and enhancing customer satisfaction through Coke Canada’s foodservice distributor program (FSDP). 

Responsibilities

•    Delivers the key metrics goals for assigned customer base by identifying and executing against both Coke Canada and customer priorities
•    Act as the primary Coke Canada contact for the distributor’s field sales team within assigned territory.
•    Schedule and attend distributor field sales meetings to conduct training sessions on Coca-Cola’s portfolio, promotions, and selling strategies.
•    Network with indirect sales distributor (ISD) field sales teams to identify and secure new profitable outlets for Coke Canada, leveraging distributor data and market insights to identify high-potential leads.
•    Perform sales visits for assigned customer base of top food service distributor program (FSDP) customers within territory, focused on growing focus packs through SKU penetration, executing Look of Success, and Cold Drink Equipment placements.
•    Collaborate with Coke Canada field sales within assigned market unit as the food service distributor program (FSDP) lead, coordinating new customer leads from indirect sales distributors (ISD) and ensuring they are followed through to completion.
•    Solicits feedback from customers and indirect sales distributors (ISD) field sales providing insights to the broader Alternative Route-to-Market team for program improvements.
•    Represents Coke Canada at distributor customer events, promoting Coke Canada products and the foodservice distributor program (FSDP). 
•    Collaborates with multiple cross-functional departments (ARTM, Field Sales, RGM, Equipment Services, Customer Team, as well as Distributor Teams) to ensure optimal customer satisfaction and support.

Qualifications

 

  • Must have a personal vehicle for use during work hours, and the ability to drive throughout the Greater Toronto Area
  • Must have current vehicle liability insurance and valid driver’s license and driving record within MVR policy guidelines
  • Post Secondary education and CPG experience required
  • 1+ years of relevant sales experience within the Food Service channel
  • Understanding of field sales procedures for selling, order-taking and merchandising is an asset
  • Experience managing distributor relationships in a Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG) environment preferred
  • Strong financial acumen an asset
  • Ability to read, write and speak English; Chinese is an asset
  • Must have current vehicle liability insurance
