About This Opportunity

The Maintenance Parts Coordinator will be responsible for managing and organizing the maintenance parts inventory, ensuring efficient storage, and eliminating obsolete parts. This role involves implementing 5-S principles in the maintenance shops and organizing a document library. The ideal candidate will have an engineering or skilled trades background, be disciplined and organized, and have project management experience.

 

Responsibilities

  • Conduct quarterly parts counts and reconcile inventory levels.
  • Lead projects to organize the storage of parts and dispose of obsolete parts.
  • Implement 5-S principles in the maintenance shops to ensure a clean and organized workspace.
  • Organize and maintain a document library for maintenance records and manuals.
  • Manage and control inventory within the warehouse, ensuring accurate records and efficient processes.
  • Reconcile daily, monthly, and annual inventory to the SAP computer system.
  • Research and resolve daily inventory variances.
  • Identify and report close-dated products.
  • Conduct, document, and report on inventory audits.
  • Identify and communicate opportunities for internal control improvements to the Manager.
  • Analyze and implement internal controls in accordance with the Controls Policy and Procedures Manual.
  • Provide training on policies, procedures, and controls to facility staff.
  • Assist with annual independent inventory counts.
  • Review Inventory Variance Reports and work with the maintenance team to resolve issues.
  • Standardize and ensure adherence to financial and operational control policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties or special projects as assigned by the department Manager.
  • Maintain proper documentation to support all audit activities (Internal Control Audits and Independent).
  • Work on projects involving utilities (i.e. water processing, air compressors and Clean-in-Place systems)

Qualifications

  • Engineering background or skilled trades background.
  • Disciplined and organized.
  • Project management experience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and training abilities.
  • Proficiency in inventory management systems, preferably SAP.
  • Knowledge of 5-S principles and their implementation.
