About This Opportunity
Reporting to the Manager, Finance, this role is a key business partner to multiple stakeholders, including Manufacturing, Planning, Finance and Supply Chain management.
This role will be involved in managing all aspects of the monthly financial close as well as the development of rolling estimates and budgets. The end-to-end financial processes include the preparation and posting of journal entries, detailed variance analysis, and preparation of management presentation decks. You’ll collaborate with business partners to identify recommendations and opportunities for productivity, as well continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and explain journal entries and financial statements.
- Perform month-end closing activities for production plants, transportation, warehouses and other items.
- Review P&L and explain variances against budget, prior year plan, forecast, and standards.
- Understand the key performance metrics in Supply Chain and suggest improvements with tie-in to financial P&L.
- Bottom-up build of Copack pricing by SKU for our partner brands, considering key impacts like commodities and service fees.
- Balance sheet account reconciliations preparation, review of aged or other reconciling items and assisting in resolutions.
- Prepare and analyze weekly and monthly forecasting reports, composition of management presentation decks and identification of risks & opportunities.
- Prepare, review and present Annual Budget to Senior Leaders.
- Identify and facilitate process improvement initiatives, including enhancements to Supply Chain Anaplan modules.
- Build strong collaborative relationships with key business partners.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Minimum of two years’ experience in the accounting field, with experience in variance analysis and a demonstrated understanding of absorption costing.
- Ideally, you have at least a year of accounting in a manufacturing environment.
- Must have prior experience using SAP.
- Must be comfortable using Excel and be an expert Excel user.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A CPA certification is an asset.
- Experience using Anaplan is an asset.
