About This Opportunity
The Corporate Accountant is a key figure in financial management with respect to the monthly close process and post-close analyses. They play an important role in budgeting and forecasting, preparing balance sheet and cash flow estimates for various client groups. Additionally, they are pivotal in collaboration and communication, following up with client groups to reconcile accounts and work to address and resolve any financial discrepancies.
Responsibilities
- Assists in monthly closing of financial records and posting of month end adjustments, ensuring accuracy of financial statements
- Verifies that expenses are processed consistently with company policy
- Provides accounting assistance to stakeholders; responds to financial questions/concerns to meet business needs
- Ensures sub-ledger and general ledger reconciliations are in place and maintained to include required documentation
- Collaborates with cross-functional business partners
- Assists with balance sheet budgeting, forecasting and analytics
- Special Projects and Additional Reporting as Needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- Strong experience with SAP and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Access are essential.
- Working towards obtaining an accounting designation
- 2+ years of experience in an entry level role in finance
- Excellent analytical, planning, interpersonal and communication skills
