Role Details

  • Work Location – Richmond
  • Shift/Hours or Hybrid Environment – Days, Monday to Friday, Hybrid - Home, Office, Field
  • The full base salary range for this position is from $82,800 - $92,000 annually. The starting base salary offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, role complexity, skills, experience, and internal equity.
  • This role is eligible for an annual incentive plan.

About This Opportunity

Reporting to the Manager, Unattended Retail, the Unattended Retail Specialist is responsible for driving profitable revenue and earnings from all unattended retail placements (Vending Services). Partnering with third party Fee for Service Partners, the Field Sales, and Account Management Teams, you will support the deployment of equipment and service to maximize revenue potential across channels including Retail, On-Premise and Food Service customers. In addition, you will work with the Distribution, Equipment Service and Unattended Retail planning teams to optimize service to manage efficiencies and overall operating costs. 

Responsibilities

  • Manage local customer relations pertaining to Unattended Retail (Vending Services).
  • Provide updates to General Manager and Unattended Retail Manager, as well as attend calls as required regarding Unattended Retail and local sales.
  • Perform audits as required to ensure all tasks are completed, including and not limited to price changes, space to sales changes, and product rotation.
  • Own the route planning, coordinate first fills and seasonal activities.
  • Manage and review Coca-Cola’s Key Business Indicators (KBIs) on an ongoing basis (e.g. yields, fill rates, low vends, scheduled vs. actual fills, payment reversal opportunities etc.);
  • Ongoing analysis of existing Unattended Retail business to improve profitability.
  • Work with Field Sales team to provide education and guidance on Unattended Retail Programs. Assist Field Sales with growing revenue through prospecting for new business and improving profitability of existing placements.
  • Support the Sales team as it pertains to questions/guidance around Loan Vending.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to prioritize service for high profile customers.
  • Manage contractual relationship with our current Fee for Service (FFS) provider, including monitoring performance, reporting, invoicing, and regular business reviews. Reviewing and escalating reporting to ensure accurate and timely payment for Services rendered.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required; post‑secondary education in Finance or Business Administration preferred.
  • 1–3 years of experience in Field Sales, Distribution, or Equipment Service Operations.
  • Experience in Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) or the Beverage Industry is an asset.Strong financial literacy, including experience analyzing business and operational data.
  • Proven ability to analyze, interpret, and leverage data to develop business cases, make sound recommendations, and support business objectives.
  • Experience preparing and presenting data‑driven insights to stakeholders.
  • Solid understanding of technology with strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong organizational, prioritization, and analytical skills.
