About This Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity for a Production Supervisor who wants to lead a team and optimise the operation of a large supply chain. As a Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for manufacturing products using safe and efficient processes while supervising members of the production team. This opportunity is for our production centre located in Lachine.
**Evening shift, 1.45pm to 10.15pm**
 

Responsibilities

  • Employee management, including scheduling, absences, staffing, training, evaluation and development, and all other aspects related to managing a production team in a unionized environment.
  • Support efficiency and key performance indicators.
  • Understand and manage the manufacturing process including mixing, filling and packaging.
  • Perform root cause analysis on equipment failures or shutdowns that have resulted in downtime. 
  • Manage overall product quality to meet all standards and specifications.
  • Possibility of additional Saturday shifts, depending on operational needs. 
  • Generate production reports.
  • Work in synergy with other departments (logistics, maintenance, quality).

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience;
  • Have a minimum of four (4) years' experience in a unionized manufacturing and production environment, with a minimum of two (2) years as a direct supervisor of a team;
  • Experience in cleaning and sanitation would be considered an asset;
  • Bilingualism in French and English.
  • Good understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), health and safety standards, Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) and ISO standards;
  • Excellent knowledge of continuous improvement principles and methodology tools for problem solving and leadership performance;
  • Intermediate computer and database skills; SAP is an asset
