Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor or Manager, the Shunter drives the shunt truck, attached trailers, and moves trailers around the yard, to and from loading docks as needed.

The Details:

The start date for this position is as soon as possible. Candidates will be working on the night or overnight shift

Wage: $24.58/hr + premiums (night, overnight) 

Responsibilities

  • Drive shunt truck and attach trailers.
  • Connect shunt truck to trailer, drive trailer to bay followed by trailer detachment.
  • Connect/Disconnect air lines, maneuver jack stands and power chocks into position, and engage trailer dolly via crank.
  • Flexibility to assist with production line or warehouse duties based on business needs is required

Qualifications

  • Valid Class 1 driver's license required;
  • 1-3 years of general work experience required;
  • Position is available by seniority;
  • Physical requirements include frequent sitting, with occasional walking and standing;
  • French speaking.
