About This Opportunity
The Specialist, General Services oversees and coordinates activities related to building projects and support equipment, equipment maintenance projects, and contractor oversight at the Coca-Cola Canada Lachine site, ensuring that work is completed within budget, on schedule, and in compliance with safety standards. Responsibilities include task planning, coordination of teams and subcontractors, project administration, and monitoring work compliance.
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Facilities Maintenance and Services Specialist will work closely with various departments.
Responsibilities
- Planning and Coordination: Organize team activities, develop project schedules, coordinate subcontractors and service providers, and issue work permits.
- Develop long-term maintenance and/or replacement plans for equipment and facilities.
- Administrative Management: Manage project documentation, contracts, permits, and correspondence related to building, maintenance, and facilities projects.
- Project Monitoring: Track project progress, ensure compliance with standards and regulations, and manage project changes as required.
- Safety and Maintenance: Ensure the safety of plant buildings and grounds and coordinate the maintenance of equipment and facilities.
- Logistics: Coordinate the flow of materials, equipment, and information between departments and project teams.
- Team Support: Collaborate with maintenance planners and supervisors and perform any other duties assigned by the Maintenance Manager.
Qualifications
- Project Management: Strong understanding of project management practices, including planning, scheduling, monitoring, and problem-solving.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with teams, contractors, and management.
- Technical Expertise: Technical knowledge of building systems, engineering, and maintenance operations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent discipline.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a planner or supervisor in a maintenance
department. - Knowledge of SAP is an asset.
- Bilingualism (French and English) is an asset.
