About This Opportunity

Coca-Cola Canada is looking for a passionate Electrotechnician to join its dedicated team at the Lachine production plant.

 

As an Electrotechnician in a production plant for Coca-Cola Canada, you will have the opportunity to play a crucial role in maintaining the daily operation of the equipment. Under the supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible for electrical repairs, preventive maintenance, and proper waste disposal.

The ideal candidate for the position must hold a CE license and speak French.

Responsibilities

  • Take charge of electrical repairs and preventive maintenance of our equipment and production machines to ensure optimal operation.

  • Ensure the reliability of our control systems by performing preventive maintenance and necessary repairs based on programmable logic control (PLC).

  • Be the expert in maintenance and repair of our automated systems (Allen Bradley controllers).

  • Collaborate closely with the supervisor and your colleagues to share progress and challenges encountered.

  • Adhere to our company’s policies and guidelines to maintain a safe and compliant work environment.

  • Stay at the forefront of technical advancements by attending training sessions and keeping informed about new developments in your field.

  • Respond quickly and efficiently to service calls to minimize production interruptions.

  • Apply ecological and safe procedures for waste disposal.

  • Actively contribute to achieving and maintaining the department’s budgetary goals.

  • Keep an accurate log of used parts and help maintain a well-organized inventory.

  • Provide your expertise in electrical equipment to support and assist mechanics in their tasks.

Qualifications

  • French Speaking

  • CE License: Certificate of Competency in Electricity (CE) required.

  • Experience in Electrical Maintenance and Automated Systems: 3 to 5 years of experience in electrical maintenance.

  • Reading Schematics: Ability to read and use schematics for equipment repair.

  • Controller Proficiency: Expertise with Allen Bradley programmable controllers.

  • PLC and SLC Troubleshooting: Experience in troubleshooting and maintaining programmable logic controllers (PLC) and signal line circuits (SLC), as well as 24-volt and 110-volt control systems.

  • Transducers and Hydraulic Systems: Knowledge and experience with electrical and pneumatic transducers, as well as hydraulic systems and controls.

  • Planning and Prioritization: Ability to plan and prioritize work requests and schedules.

  • Computer Skills: Strong computer system skills and ability to use software applications.

  • Production Experience: Production experience in a bottling or food processing company is an asset.

  • Diagnostics and Repair of Electronic/Computer Networks: Experience in inspecting and repairing cables and other information transmission devices is an asset.
