About This Opportunity
The Project Manager, Engineering manages projects from conception to completion, managing internal and external stakeholders, budget, and timeline to ensure successful delivery within scope and quality standards. Key duties include planning projects, coordinating with stakeholders like clients and engineers, managing resources and risks, and ensuring compliance with technical specifications and safety regulations.
This Opportunity is for our Calgary Manufacturing Plant.
Responsibilities
- Manage multi-year projects; Machinery & Equipment, Building & Facility
- Develop Projects in collaboration with the Plant and Engineering teams.
- Development and validation of scope, budget, timeline and deliverables are heavily emphasized in the planning stages. Scope, budget and timeline are critical deliverables of the project implementation phases.
- Provide expertise in equipment, machinery operation, water treatment operations, syrup production, etc. to ensure operating efficiencies.
- Create equipment specifications and communicate them to manufacturers.
- Manage suppliers; processes and supervision.
- Participate in bid reviews and vendor selection.
- Develop Multi-year capital plan for assigned manufacturing facility in collaboration with the engineering and plant teams.
Qualifications
- University degree in engineering or a related discipline. Civil, mechanical or electrical preferred.
- Minimum 3-5 years’ project management experience.
- Professional Engineer & Project Management Professional (PMP) certification an asset.
- Experience in carbonated beverage industry experience is considered asset.
- Technical expertise in facilities, processes and/or machinery utilized in the beverage/food industry.
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills to liaison effectively between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders.
