About This Opportunity
Reporting directly to the Senior Director, Procurement, the Senior Manager, Direct Procurement collaborates with internal departments to understand raw material supply needs, develop sustainable sourcing strategies, manage supplier partnerships, and proactively address supply continuity challenges. Additionally, they oversee contract negotiations, supplier relationship Management, and cost recovery efforts.
Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Lead a team of direct procurement & supply management professionals across over 10 material categories – with a focus on supply resiliency and cost avoidance.
- Cost intelligence and should-cost modelling: Regularly break down complex products into their core cost drivers – challenge assumptions, expose inefficiencies, and lead fact-based negotiations.
- Market & commodity strategy: Key support for our operational finance, sales, and commercial teams in anticipating cost movements and communicating market signals that pose risk to the business.
- Supply continuity & risk management: Proactively identify and mitigate risks across our entire supply chain – including leading back-up trials, new material qualifications, and more!
- Supplier performance & Development: Partner with key material suppliers to unlock productivity, enable revenue, and drive innovation.
- Sourcing Excellence: Drive the development of sustainable long-term sourcing strategies and supplier partnerships to meet the requirements of CCCBL in collaboration with Coca-Cola Bottlers’ Sales & Services (CCBSS).
Qualifications
- 5+ years of work experience in a senior procurement role with strong market and people leadership experience or relevant related field.
- Demonstrated ability to model various business scenarios and analyze resulting costs, impacts, risks, and benefits to inform and recommend business solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to assemble and analyze large quantities of data and conduct in depth analysis of the data, such as should-cost models, benchmarking, etc.
- Proven ability to lead teams and influence through others with high motivation & communication, working across multiple projects/portfolios.
- A strong team player who enjoys working in a fast-paced team environment while being highly organized with strong negotiation skills.
