Night Supervisor, Warehouse Inventory

About This Opportunity
The Warehouse Supervisor with focus on IPT (Inter-Plant Transportation and Inventory Support) Warehouse is responsible for the management of IPT forklift drivers, IPT Shipper & Receiver and on occasion off-shift Combo Centre employees. They ensure the products are properly received, stored, and assist in posting during inventory counts. The Supervisor works as a coach and mentor to their team. To succeed in this position, the Supervisor must be capable of planning the workload, motivating their team, and offering great customer service.
Responsibilities
- Supervising a team of 20 IPT forklift drivers and IPT Shipper & Receiver, while respecting budgetary constraints
- Maintaining a safe work environment to enforce health and safety policies and regulations in the workplace
- Staff, train, coach, evaluate and develop team members
- Hold team members accountable to RF scanning compliance for improved traceability
- Understanding and overseeing BluJay dock scheduling software and communicate when issues with scheduled appointments occur
- Overseeing the storage, as well as the shipping and receiving of goods
- Allocate necessary space for stock rotation and removal of aged product as directed by inventory
- Assist and maintain appropriate inventory levels and product loss control.
- Assist in inventory counts by posting results and communication with Inventory Team
- Manage and audit team member's timekeeping ensuring loads get out on time to BluJay
- Complete safety and food safety auditing in compliance with ISO certifications.
- Manage IPT labor and communicate with warehouse when backfill is required
Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in a related field or experience deemed equivalent
- 3-5 years warehouse/inventory experience required. Beverage industry is preferred.
- 2+ years supervisory experience required. Supervisory experience in a unionized environment is preferred.
- Ability to make sound decisions and recommendations based on analytical evaluations
- Ability to provide leadership, motivation, and training for development of the team
- Ability to cultivate, manage and foster a diverse team of employees
- Ability to initiate activities and perform duties without direct supervision
- Possess excellent organization and time-management skills
- Knowledge of Department of Transportation regulations
- Be a leader, a good communicator, and a convener
- Possess excellent organization and time-management skills
- Experience with MS Office, BluJay and SAP computer tools
